FRESH ORANGES WITH MARRON GLACE AND CHOCOLATE SAUCE

Fresh oranges with marron glace and chocolate sauce, impress your guests with this easy to prepare dessert.

ingredients

  • 3 oranges or 6 clementines
  • 100ml whole milk
  • 2 tbsp El Canario drinking chocolate

  • 8 marron glaces, crumbled
  • 8 Marcona almonds, toasted and roughly chopped

METHOD

  1. Peel the oranges or clementines, making sure to remove any pith from the flesh.
  2. Cut the oranges crossways into ½ cm slices and arrange them flat on a desert plates.
  3. Meanwhile heat the milk to roughly 70°C before adding the chocolate powder and mixing together.
  4. Once the chocolate has thickened sufficiently, remove from the heat stirring constantly to prevent any lumps from forming.
  5. Slowly spoon the chocolate over the orange slices.
  6. Crumble the marron glace over the warm chocolate and orange pieces.
  7. Finally scatter the chopped marcona almonds over the dish to garnish.
  8. Serve while the chocolate sauce is still warm.
