TURRON & ORANGE HONEY PANCAKES

ingredients

  • 150ml of Cream
  • 80g of Turron

  • 1 x tablespoon of orange blossom honey

  • 1 cup of plain flour
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1 medium egg

These turron and honey pancakes are the ultimate sweet treat for Shrove Tuesday. Quick, simple and incredibly tasty!

Method

  1. Combine the flour, egg, milk and salt in a bowl and mix until smooth. Cover and set aside for 5 minutes.

  2. In a separate bowl, crumble up the turron and add the cream. Whip them together and taste to decide whether or not you'd like to add more turron.

  3. Heat a medium non-stick pan over a medium heat. Add a little cooking oil to the pan. 

  4. Pour 1 cup of the mixture into the pan so that the mixture covers the whole of the pan. 

  5. Cook the pancake for about 1 minute or until the underside is golden, then either use a spatula to turn it over, or if confident enough, flip it in the air to turn it! Cook all the pancakes like this until golden. 

  6. Fill each pancake with the soft turron cream.

  7. Drizzle over the orange honey and crumble a little more turron over the top of the pancakes.
