Fesol del Castellfollit de Boix, white navy beans, 400g
£0.00
DESCRIPTION
The white navy bean is grown in a tiny area in the comarca of l'Anoia, Catalonia in a village of only 350 people.
The plants are grown 'en seco', which means that they rely entirely on rain and river water. They thrive in the mild microclimate of these mountains which is at 700m. The lime and calcium rich soil of this area is ideal, and the bean plants fix nitrogen in the soils.
This bean is the size of a garden pea, it has a creamy texture and very fine and shiny skin.
