Galician chestnuts are well known for their exceptional quality. These, from the provinces of Ourense and Lugo, are cooked without the use of additives. They are then peeled and packed quickly so that their natural goodness is sealed in.

Clean chestnut flavour. The texture is classically floury and the flavour is gently savoury.

For stuffing, rice dishes, stews and soups. They are a versatile vegetarian ingredient for dishes such as braised sprouts, root vegetable bakes and savoury pancake stuffing with mushrooms or spinach. These are also an excellent ingredient for cakes, desserts, and to make chestnut jam.
