A true Portuguese delicacy, these PDO-certified Ameixa d’Elvas plums from the Alentejo region are preserved using a centuries-old confisage method dating back to the 17th century. Over the course of up to three months, the fruit is gently boiled and slowly candied in syrup until it develops a dense texture and a luxurious, honeyed flavour.
Made with nothing more than plums and sugar, each fruit is carefully hand-selected and dried to ensure outstanding quality. The result is a richly aromatic plum with delicate floral notes, subtle caramel undertones, and an elegant sweetness that lingers on the palate.
