This artisan Manchego has a dark olive oil coated rind and a hard yet buttery texture.
Produced in Daimiel, in the region of La Mancha along the banks of the river Guadiana, this is a superb example of a mature, artisan produced, raw milk Manchego.
The Manchega sheep which provide the milk graze outdoors in the Tablas de Daimiel National Park for most of the year pasturing on grass, supplemented by cereals during the winter months
A classic full-flavoured Manchego, with lanolin and spicy notes, and a meaty and savoury depth - all in harmonious balance.
Ideal served with membrillo or date and walnut wheel and a glass of medium bodied red such as Tempranillo or a glass of Oloroso or Palo Cortado sherry. Leave at room temperature for at least one hour before eating.
