MAX'S ULTIMATE PASTRAMI SANDWICH

Max of Max’s Sandwich Shop fame has created the ultimate Pastrami sandwich for us, using Rooftop Smokehouse pastrami and piparra chillies.

Makes 1 sandwich

ingredients

  • 2 slices granary bread
  • 8 slices of Pastrami
OUT OF STOCK
  • 2 tbsp Sauerkraut
  • 2 slices of cheese for melting
  • Chopped Smoked Piparra Chillis
  • 5 Boquerones
OUT OF STOCK
  • English Mustard to taste
  • La Chinata Hot Sauce
IN STOCK
  • For the Russian sauce:
  • 1 tbsp Gherkins
IN STOCK
  • 1 tbsp Pickled Onions
IN STOCK
  • 1 1/2 tbsp Mayo
  • 1 tbsp Ketchup

Method:

Prepare the Russian sauce:

  1. Chop the onions and gherkins into small chunks
  2. Mix with the mayo and ketchup

Prepare the sandwich:

  1. Run the sealed pastrami pack under hot water so the fat melts.
  2. Layer the bread with a good helping of Russian sauce
  3. Top with slices of pastrami, then add sauerkraut, guindilla chillies, cheese, boquerones
  4. Squeeze on mustard, and add a few drops of hot sauce
  5. Put in a sandwich maker or heat in a pan until the cheese melts.
  6. Enjoy!

Little tip:

If you don’t like boquerones you could use a splash of Worcestershire sauce
