BUTTER BEANS ON TOAST

Not your average beans on toast! Creamy and full of flavour, made with our new tomato and vegetable sauce. Perfect if you work from home and have little time to cook lunch. Recipe by @thecornerplot

ingredients

  • 1 jar butter beans

  • 1 jar of pasta sauce
IN STOCK
  • 2 tablespoons of capers
IN STOCK
  • 3 tablespoons of black olives
IN STOCK
  • Sweet smoked paprika
IN STOCK
  • 1 teaspoon of dried oregano
  • Galmesan cheese
IN STOCK
  • Basil leaves
  • Salt and pepper

Method:

  1. Spoon the beans into a saucepan. Pour over the pasta sauce. Add a little water to the empty jar and swirl out any remaining sauce into the pan.
  2. Add the capers, black olives, a sprinkle of sweet smoked paprika and oregano and simmer for 5 minutes. Season to taste. 
  3. Serve on toasted sourdough with grated Galmesan cheese and a little fresh basil.
