FRIED MONTE ENEBRO

A favourite in our restaurants, this dish pairs tangy yet creamy Monte Enebro goat’s cheese from Ávila with a golden coating and a drizzle of sweet honey. Creamy inside and crunchy outside, it’s a simple yet irresistible starter or snack. Serve with crusty bread or a fresh salad for the perfect balance of flavours!

ingredients

  • Slices of Monte Enebro cheese

  • 1 whole egg, whisked
  • Plain flour for dusting
  • Menorcan sea salt
IN STOCK
  • Alemany Orange blossom honey
IN STOCK
  • Black pepper
  • Torres Veg Crisps

Method: 

  1. Dust a cold slice of Monte Enebro in flour and black pepper.
  2. Dip into the egg, coating all sides of the slice, and then carefully fry in hot oil (180c). Cook until just golden, and then place on a paper towel or cloth to dry.
  3. Place on a plate and sprinkle with salt flakes and lots of orange blossom honey.
  4. Serve with Torres Veg Crisps as a garnish.
