Hidden Valley by Paul Richardson

Paul Richardson, leading food-history and travel author, launches new book, “Hidden Valley” at Tapas Brindisa.

Brindisa’s link with Paul dates back thirty years, almost to the foundation of Brindisa in 1988. Living off-grid in Extremadura, he was a great supporter of Brindisa in the early days, and even produced home-grown moon lemons, which we supplied to trade customers and the public via our Brindisa shops. Today, Paul regularly contributes to our blog with articles telling the stories of some of our best-loved suppliers and little-known foods from across Spain.

Paul’s has just written (another) entertaining and original book about his journey to self-reliance in the wild landscape of rural Spain. Immersing himself in a new culture and on a journey of practical learning and reflection, the book is a thought-provoking and even rebellious exploration of a simpler life and a closer interaction with land and nature.

Paul launches his book Thursday 5th January at our Brindisa London Bridge restaurant. With food and drink sourced from many of the growers and makers that Paul has written about, Brindisa is the natural place for Paul to gather and talk about his new work.
